When Can I Watch The Chosen Season 6? (Prime Video vs. the App, Explained)

If you just watched the Season 6 teaser trailer in The Chosen app, you probably saw the end screen say "streaming November 15" and started counting down the days on the app you're already using. Here's the catch: that date is real, but it's not for this app. Below is the 30-second version of exactly where and when Season 6 is actually available, so you're not left checking the app on release day wondering where your show went.

The Quick Answer

Season 6 streams on Prime Video (Amazon), with all six episodes releasing between November 15 and December 6, 2026. It arrives on The Chosen app for everyone in 2027. The season concludes in theaters, worldwide, this Spring, under the title The Chosen Crucifixion. The film will be available on the app later in the year — see it in theaters first.

Trailer vs. Release Date

The teaser's end screen says "streaming November 15" without specifying where, so it's easy to assume the app is getting the season that day too. It isn't an error, just a missing detail. Here's the full picture.

Prime Video: November 15 – December 6, 2026

Season 6 debuts first on Prime Video. The first three episodes drop November 15, 2026, then one new episode releases weekly, Episode 4 on November 22, Episode 5 on November 29, and Episode 6 on December 6. To watch during this window, you'll need a Prime Video (Amazon) account. The Chosen app won't have Season 6 yet. If you don't want to wait, this is your option.

The Chosen App: Coming 2027

The Chosen app gets Season 6 for everyone in 2027, after Prime Video. The upside: once it lands on the app, it's there for good, free to watch the way earlier seasons are today. If you're not in a hurry, there's no downside to waiting, you'll just see it later than Prime Video viewers. Don't want to check back yourself? Don't Mix These Up: The Six Episodes vs. The Chosen Crucifixion Film

The same teaser also promotes The Chosen Crucifixion, and it's easy to assume that's a separate story from Season 6, or that it's simply "episode 6." Neither is quite right. All six numbered episodes of Season 6 stream on Prime Video (November 15 – December 6, 2026) and later the app (2027). The season concludes in theaters, worldwide, this Spring, as The Chosen Crucifixion, then reaches the app later in the year. Same story and season, told across streaming episodes and then in theaters.
